Vaccinations – what is your vaccination status?

Vaccinations are a good protection against life threatening childhood or adult diseases. In some cases, protection will last a lifetime, whilst others require regular boosters.

Vaccinations that require boosters

Many adults assume that childhood vaccination programmes – e.g. against tetanus – are the end of the matter. This may not be the case, some vaccinations require regular booster.
In fact, however, it is an important element of health care to ensure adequate vaccination protection.
Typical childhood diseases, which are experienced in childhood with little health risk, can become serious health threats when they occur in adulthood.

Many of our patients are frequently travelling, not only privately but also on business. Please remember that for many trips abroad – not only to tropical areas – special travel vaccinations are required. These recommended vaccinations include

  • Vaccination protection against hepatitis A
  • Vaccination protection against hepatitis B
  • Individualized drug prophylaxis against malaria
  • Vaccination protection against cholera
  • Vaccination protection against FSME
  • Vaccination protection against HPV (men)
